Who We Are We are people who have worked in the South Pacific and have seen a great number of needy animals. We have chosen this region as many of the countries here are expansive over many thousands of square miles of ocean. There are very few local veterinarians in this great expanse. The ones that work here are usually in the cities. It is expensive to visit the many outer island that make up specific countries and resources are limited. If we can provide resources, then the work of the local private and governmental veterinarians can be expanded. We would like any suggestions that you may have to help us in our work. Please contact us if you can help. |
What We Do The purpose of our organization is to provide support to the animal welfare groups in the South Pacific. This includes not only organizations like the SPCA but private and governmental veterinarians. In some countries like the Fiji Islands, there are very few local veterinarians. Those who operate as private veterinarians need resources to provide the best welfare to local animals. There is a great need for sterialization services. This is one way to saving the lives of many dogs and cats. In some municipalities, stray dogs in particular are brutally killed using paraquat poisoning. This manner of death is most inhumane. Please contact the SPCA of Fiji for additional information about paraquat. If you would like to help us protect the stray animals in the South Pacific, please contact us or make a donation to the sterilization program we are creating for the many islands in this part of the world. |
